Send her to Germany when the Berlin Wall comes down and give her the responsibility for covering the dismantling of the East German Academy
of Sciences and related institutes.

Let her work as both a journalist and a translator in a wide range
of fields.

After about a decade of hard work, you have a capable free-lance journalist and translator with solid knowledge of where to find information on technologies and regulations and what to call things -
in German and English.

You also have someone who is able to choose just the right word
to convey a concept to the intended audience.
